Unidentified Pedestrian Killed on 80 Freeway in Vallejo Accident

 
VALLEJO, CA (June 9, 2019) – An unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed Sunday afternoon on the 80 Freeway.
 
California Highway Patrol reported the crash around 3:10 PM, along the east 80 Freeway. First responders arrived near the 780 Freeway junction shortly after.
 
According to officials, a vehicle hit a person who was on the freeway. However, it is currently unknown if the vehicle involved stopped to assist the victim. It is also unclear what the pedestrian was doing on the freeway. Due to the collision lanes on the freeway were blocked causing traffic to be backed up.
 
No more details surrounding the accident have been released at this time as an investigation is still ongoing.
