Woman Injured in Sonoma County Pedestrian Accident
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (April 23, 2019) – A pedestrian suffered major injuries after a collision with a hit-and-run car on April 20.
The authorities responded at around 11:20 p.m. on Old Redwood Highway south of Shiloh Road. Upon their arrival, they located a woman lying in the roadway, CHP Santa Rosa Area Officer Juan Leon said.
“Based on witness statements and her injuries, it is believed she was hit by an unknown vehicle,” Leon stated. “Following the collision, the unknown vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction.”
Authorities confirmed that the woman suffered major injuries.
Meanwhile, the investigators found some broken lighting assembly pieces at the area. They believe that it belongs to the suspect vehicle.
“We are seeking the public’s help to identify the suspect driver and vehicle,” Leon added.
