1 Hospitalized after Thousand Oaks Car Accident
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (February 20, 2019) – A man sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car while he was walking across a street outside the crosswalk on February 18.
According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, it was before 6:10 p.m. when the accident was reported in the 1300 block of East Hillcrest Drive. The crash scene was just east of Highway 23, between the 23 and Colina Middle School.
The pedestrian, believed to be 46 years old, was hit while crossing the roadway outside the crosswalk area. Alcohol or drugs were not found to be involved in the crash.
Meanwhile, the pedestrian had surgery and is believed to have survived.
There were no further details provided.
