Early Morning Pedestrian Crash on Highway 74 in Lake Elsinore Turns Deadly

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (August 2, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by vehicles early Friday morning in Lake Elsinore.
 
The crash took place at 3:29 am. on Highway 74, also known as Ortega Highway. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles struck the pedestrian. One of the vehicles stopped, but the second vehicle had took off.
 
First responders attempted life-saving aid to the victim, but unsuccessful. The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
All traffic lanes were blocked until around 5:12 a.m. while evidence from the scene was collected and photographed.
 
Police did not release any other information regarding the details of the accident at this time. Further investigation of this fatal incident is underway.
