Teen Injured in San Marcos Pedestrian Accident
SAN MARCOS, CA (February 7, 2019) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver near Palomar College on February 6.
The authorities are still in search of the hit-and-run motorist.
San Diego County sheriff’s Deputy Cornelius Van Nieuwenhuyzen revealed that the 19-year-old pedestrian was hit shortly before 8:50 p.m. on West Borden Road and Comet Circle.
Van Nieuwenhuyzen added that the pedestrian was walking across West Borden Road outside of the marked crosswalk when he was struck by a westbound truck on West Borden Road.
The pedestrian, whose identity is yet to be released, was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
