SAN MARCOS, CA (May 27, 2018) – A pedestrian was hospitalized Sunday evening after sustaining serious injuries from a collision on West San Marcos Boulevard.
 
According to the San Diego County Police, the incident was reported at 7:25 PM near South Rancho Santa Fe Road and West San Marcos Boulevard. A preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle was traveling westbound on West San Marcos Boulevard when the driver hit the pedestrian, who was trying to cross in an unmarked crosswalk.
 
The victim, whose name, gender and age were not released, was transported to a nearby hospital after sustaining serious injuries. The driver was reportedly unharmed and remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigators.
 
No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
