Car Hits Pedestrian near Bixler Road in Discovery Bay
DISCOVERY BAY, CA (June 15, 2019) – An unidentified victim was seriously injured after a pedestrian accident on Highway 4, Saturday evening.
Authorities responded to the collision in the southbound lanes of Highway 4 around 9:33 p.m. A silver Honda Accord allegedly struck the pedestrian near Bixler Road.
Paramedics arrived on scene and found the pedestrian with major injuries. They took the victim to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for further treatment.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
