Woman Hospitalized after Pedestrian Collision near Imperial Avenue

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (October 19, 2018) – A woman was injured Friday morning following a pedestrian crash on Interstate 805. The identity of the victim was not disclosed to the public.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 6:20 AM near Imperial Avenue. A pedestrian was crossing the road when she was struck by an SUV.

The victim became trapped underneath the vehicle and was dragged for several feet before the SUV stopped. After the woman was rescued by emergency responders, she was transported to the Scripps Mercy Hospital with unspecified injuries. Updates on her current medical condition were not immediately available.

Meanwhile, the SUV driver remained on site and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the crash, which remains under investigation. No further details have been provided at this time.
