Man in 80s Dies in Crash on Charleston Road in Palo Alto
Palo Alto, CA (March 22, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a male pedestrian in his 80s died in a crash on Charleston Road and Commercial Street.
The fatal crash on Charleston Road in Palo Alto happened around 10:24 a.m. on March 21.
Palo Alto Police said a Ford F-150 pickup truck was turning right onto Charleston Road and struck the victim, a man in his 80s, who then hit his head on the pavement.
The man was reportedly struck in an unmarked crosswalk. He sustained fatal injuries.
Moreover, the Ford driver, a man in his sixties, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation.
Investigators said neither drugs nor alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.
