Police Investigate a Fatal Crash on Western Avenue in Gardena

Gardena, CA (November 18, 2021) – Friday evening, a pedestrian died in a crash involving a cargo truck on Western Avenue.

The fatal crash in Gardena happened at around 5:38 p.m. in the 17100 block of Western Avenue.

The Gardena Police Department said the cargo truck was traveling northbound on Western Avenue preparing to make a left-hand turn into a business and struck the pedestrian.

EMS took the unidentified pedestrian to a hospital but he later died from his injuries.
