Pedestrian Dead after San Fernando Metrolink Train Accident near Maclay Avenue
SAN FERNANDO, CA (September 17, 2019) – A pedestrian died following a train crash near Maclay Avenue on Sunday, September 15.
At around 10:40 a.m., officers received reports of a train that had struck a pedestrian at a railroad crossing. After that, they responded at the area near the intersection of Maclay Avenue and First Street.
Authorities found a Metrolink train headed to Los Angeles from the Antelope Valley that struck a male pedestrian.
Firefighter paramedics arrived. However, they pronounced the pedestrian dead on the scene.
Authorities cordoned off the area and temporarily stopped railway operations during the investigation.
