70-Year-Old Man Dies after Crash on Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla

La Jolla, CA (February 14, 2022) – Monday evening, a  70-year-old male pedestrian died in a crash on Torrey Pines Road.

The fatal crash in La Jolla happened at around  6 p.m. on February 14.

San Diego Police said the victim walked south across Torrey Pines Road a little east of La Jolla Parkway when a 40-year-old woman heading east struck him.

Paramedics took the victim to a hospital where he later died. 

Investigators said neither alcohol nor drug impairment was thought to be factored in the collision.

No other information is immediately available.
