Tacoma, WA (July 8, 2024) – A pedestrian has died in a State Route 16 accident Sunday afternoon.

It was about 1:34 p.m. when the fatal accident happened near milepost 2.51.

WSP officers said the pedestrian was fatally struck by a westbound vehicle.

Officers are investigating the collision and why the person was on the road.
