Man Dies after Hit-and-Run Crash at 23rd Street and X Street in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 5, 2019) – A man lost his life in a hit-and-run crash on 23rd Street, Saturday morning.
 
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident happened at about 3:55 AM. A pedestrian attempted to cross near X Street when a vehicle struck him.
 
Emergency responders rushed the victim to a hospital with serious injuries. Unfortunately, he died hours after the incident. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sacramento Police Department via the Hit-and-Run Tip line at (916) 808-6030. Officers will release additional details once they become available.
