Hit-and-Run Driver Fatally Struck Pedestrian near San Martin

 
SAN MARTIN, CA (June 06, 209) — A male pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Monterey Road Tuesday night.
 
The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident happened at 9:31 p.m. south of Cox Avenue near San Martin.
 
Officers found the man’s body lying in the road when they arrived at the scene. Additionally, the driver of the vehicle drove off and was nowhere to be found.
 
The name of the victim was not released as officials are awaiting for the family to be notified. In the meantime, they urge anyone with information on the crash to contact Officer M. Hinch of the CHP Hollister/Gilroy station at 408-848-2324.
