SUN VALLEY, CA (June 7, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, a hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian on 5 Freeway near Lankershim Boulevard.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 12:23 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway, north of Lankershim Boulevard.
 
Reports revealed that an unknown vehicle struck the victim and fled the scene without stopping.
 
Furthermore, responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the CHP’s Altadena office urged anyone with information about the hit-and-run vehicle to contact them as soon as possible.
