Pedestrian Killed in Highway 41 Accident [Madera County, CA]

Madera County, CA (February 14, 2024) – A person sustained fatal injuries following a Highway 41 accident Tuesday morning.

CHP officers received the crash report at about 9:27 a.m. north of Road 208. They said a passing motorist reported that a pedestrian was lying on the side of the road, on the east shoulder of the northbound freeway.

Immediately, CHP Madera troopers responded to the scene and located the pedestrian deceased.

Moreover, investigators said the pedestrian was possibly walking on the east shoulder of State Route 41 when at the same time, an unknown northbound vehicle was traveling on Highway 41. 

That is when the vehicle struck the pedestrian.

Officers said the driver did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and failed to contact emergency personnel.

CHP Madera troopers are asking for the public’s help with any information that could help this investigation.
