60-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Hit by 2 Vehicles in Vista
VISTA, CA (May 14, 2019) – A double hit-and-run on Vista Way at Melrose Drive killed a male pedestrian Monday morning.
According to San Diego County Sheriff’s Sgt. Hernan Gonzalez, two vehicles struck the 60-year-old man at the intersection of West Vista Way and Melrose Drive shortly before 4:35 a.m.
Officials have not released the name of the victim who was pronounced dead at the scene. They were waiting for the family to be notified.
An investigation determined that the first vehicle that hit the pedestrian was a 2015 to 2019 silver Dodge Ram 1500 or 2500 pickup. Meanwhile, the exact description of the second vehicle was not released. Witnesses described it as a silver sedan.
