Edward Johnson Arrested in Fatal Sacramento Accident on Stockton Boulevard

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 24, 2021) – Wednesday, a pedestrian was struck and killed in a DUI crash on Stockton Boulevard and Lawrence Drive.
 
Apparently, a sedan ran through a red light at the intersection, colliding with a minivan.
 
Then, the sedan went onto hit the pedestrian.
 
According to reports, after responders took the pedestrian to the hospital, the victim died.
 
Meanwhile, responders also transported the driver, Edward Johnson, 76, to the hospital.
 
Ultimately, police suspected Johnson of driving under the influence (DUI).
 
Also, the deadly crash led to the closure of Stockton Boulevard from 21st Avenue to Fruitridge Road.
 
Shortly after medical personnel treated Johnson, authorities arrested him, and booked him into Sacramento County Jail.
