1 Dead in Kent Pedestrian Accident on State Route 167 and 180th Street

 
KENT, WA (June 30, 2021) – Tuesday morning, a pedestrian died in a crash on State Route 167 and 180th Street near Kent.
 
According to reports, the crash happened at around 6:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred in the northbound lanes of State Route 167, north of 180th Street.
 
After receiving reports of a serious pedestrian crash, troopers and medics responded to the scene. When they arrived, they found the pedestrian deceased at the scene.
 
Trooper Rick Johnson said that the vehicle hit the pedestrian in the road. Also, Johnson added that the vehicle driver didn’t suffer from impairment during the crash.
 
As a result of the crash, the authorities detoured traffic around the crash scene. The incident also led to long traffic backups.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
