1 Dead in Escondido Pedestrian Accident on North Midway Drive near Valley Parkway
ESCONDIDO, CA (December 29, 2021) – Monday night, an 82-year-old pedestrian died in a crash on North Midway Drive near Valley Parkway.
The incident occurred just before 6:50 p.m. when a Kia Optima driver drove north. Moreover, it happened on North Midway Drive near Valley Parkway.
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the Escondido man. He crossed Midway Drive between Valley Parkway and East Washington Avenue. Then, the sedan struck and killed him.
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old Kia’s driver from Escondido suffered no injuries. At this time, the authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. However, they said that “weather may have played a role.”
