1 Dead in Florence Pedestrian Accident on Manchester Avenue and Avalon Boulevard

 
FLORENCE, CA (November 8, 2021) – Friday night, a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Manchester Avenue and Avalon Boulevard.
 
The incident occurred at about 6:15 p.m. on Manchester Avenue and Avalon Boulevard.
 
According to reports, the suspect’s vehicle headed east on Manchester Avenue. As it made a northbound turn onto Avalon Boulevard, it crashed with another westbound vehicle on Manchester Avenue.
 
The crash forced one of the vehicles “to rotate counterclockwise and collide with two pedestrians who were standing on the northwest corner of Manchester Avenue and Avalon Boulevard,” the LAPD added.
 
One of the two pedestrians sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the other sustained blunt force trauma and was taken to the hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
 
However, the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
