1 Dead in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Edison Highway and Mt Vernon Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 13, 2021) – Sunday, a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Edison Highway and Mt Vernon Avenue.
The fatal incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. on Edison Highway and Mt. Vernon Avenue. According to the CHP, a 37-year-old man walked outside a crosswalk onto westbound Edison Highway. Then, a vehicle hit him.
The authorities described the vehicle as an older, silver compact sedan with a damaged headlight.
Meanwhile, the authorities confirmed that this incident is the 24th pedestrian death in Kern County this year.
