MESA, AZ (May 30, 2022) – Saturday morning, a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash near 54th Street and University Drive.
 
The incident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. near 54th Street and University Drive. According to reports, a vehicle struck a pedestrian walking near the curb.
 
Then, the involved driver escaped the crash scene. Meanwhile, the authorities described the hit-and-run vehicle as a dark, possibly black, a vehicle with passenger-side damage.
