SAN DIEGO, CA (April 19, 2022) – Sunday morning, a 19-year-old pedestrian died in a crash on 15 Freeway and Carroll Canyon Road.
 
The crash occurred at about 5:35 a.m. on 15 Freeway and Carroll Canyon Road.
 
According to reports, the 19-year-old man walked on the right shoulder of the freeway. Then, he walked into traffic and was hit by a Freightliner semi on Interstate 15 south of Carroll Canyon Road.
 
As a result, the man died at the scene. At this time, the authorities haven’t determined why the man walked on the freeway.
