Fatality Reported in Van Buren Street Collision
Phoenix, AZ (July 24, 2024) – A man has died in a bus accident on Central Avenue late Monday night.
The fatal collision happened at 11:45 p.m. on F.
Officers said the man was getting the bus to stop while the driver was turning right onto Central Avenue.
The man then banged on the door and started walking next to the vehicle.
The bus driver could not stop because the area was not being designated as a bus stop.
Unfortunately, the man lost his footing and fell into the roadway. He was then struck by the bus.
The rescuers took the man to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Officers are investigating this fatal collision.
