40-year-old Pedestrian Killed in Auto Crash on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino
San Bernardino, CA (May 4, 2020)– Friday evening, a 40-year-old pedestrian, resident of Rancho Cucamonga, was killed in an auto crash across the 215 Freeway.
The CHP responded upon receiving the reports at around 8:45 p.m. on May 1. Dispatched officers arrived and found the pedestrian down on the scene.
Reportedly, the victim was walking across the northbound lanes of the 215 Freeway, just north of 27th Street in San Bernardino. When a white Ford Crown Victoria heading north on the freeway at an unknown speed, struck the pedestrian.
Moreover, it is still unclear why the pedestrian walked in the roadway at that time. The victim’s identity remains undisclosed, pending notification next to the family.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Crown Victoria remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials. His identity also remains undisclosed.
Furthermore, CHP continues the investigation of the incident and will release more relevant information once available.
