Fatal Pedestrian Crash on 5 Freeway in Stockton

 
STOCKTON, CA (December 5, 2019) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Thursday night in Stockton.
 
The fatal incident happened around 6:29 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway near Benjamin Holt Drive off-ramp.
 
A black male adult wearing a black and yellow plaid flannel shirt was seen walking northbound in the slow lane when an unknown vehicle hit him, CHP officials said.
 
The victim died upon impact. His identity was not immediately available pending notification of next of kin.
 
The driver of the involved vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
