1 Dead in Irvine Pedestrian Crash on Silkberry
IRVINE, CA (July 23, 2020) – Early Tuesday night, a 52-year-old pedestrian died in an accident on Silkberry.
According to reports, an SUV hit the pedestrian at around 6:30 p.m. on Silkberry and Hazelnut.
When responders arrived, they transported the pedestrian to a hospital. Unfortunately, the patient succumbed to injuries upon arrival. His identity remains undisclosed at this time.
Meanwhile, the SUV driver stayed at the scene and helped with the investigation.
Furthermore, the authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
It’s unknown whether the pedestrian used a marked crosswalk during the crash.
