1 Dead in San Diego Pedestrian Crash on Park Boulevard and Harbor Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 17, 2021) – Friday night, a pedestrian died in an accident on Park Boulevard and Harbor Drive.
The authorities received a report of the crash at 8:18 p.m. Moreover, it happened near Park Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard. Reports confirmed that it happened just opposite the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel and the San Diego convention center.
According to reports, an on-duty Navy sailor driving a government vehicle struck the pedestrian.
“When officers arrived San Diego Police Department was already on scene and giving first aid to the victim,” stated Harbor Police Sergeant T.D. De La Pena.
Upon the arrival of San Diego firefighters, they started to assist the victim. Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to injuries at the scene, the sergeant revealed.
The vehicle driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Meanwhile, the cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
