1 Dead in Mount Vernon Pedestrian Crash near Andersen Road
MOUNT VERNON, WA (May 27, 2020) – Early Tuesday morning, a pedestrian died in an accident involving multiple cars near Anderson Road.
The accident occurred at about 2:15 a.m. near the Anderson Road exit at 5 Freeway, said Trooper Heather Axtman. He also added that several cars also hit the person after the initial crash.
Moreover, the troopers received initial reports of the person lying in the road when the first crash happened. However, investigators haven’t determined the reason behind it.
As a result of the crash, 5 Freeway remained close for around 5 hours. Just before 7:00 a.m., the lanes have since reopened.
