SAN DIEGO, CA (November 26, 2020) – On Tuesday night, a pedestrian, Ernesto Camarillo, died in an accident on the 805 Freeway near Market Street.
 
The fatal accident occurred at around 9:45 p.m. southbound on the 805 Freeway, between Market Street and Imperial Avenue.
 
At this time, the circumstances that have led up to the pedestrian being struck by a vehicle remain unavailable.
 
What is known is that Mr. Camarillo walked across the carpool lane when a vehicle hit him.
 
Meanwhile, the incident shut down all lanes of the southbound Interstate 805 at Imperial Avenue. However, the northbound lanes remained at normal freeway traffic.
 
Furthermore, the authorities later revealed the victim as San Diego resident Ernesto Camarillo, 28.
