1 Pronounced Dead after Fontana Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway
FONTANA, CA (March 31, 2020) – Sunday evening on March 29, an unidentified pedestrian was killed in an accident on the 15 Freeway.
Officers responded to the collision shortly after 9:00 p.m., near the 215 Freeway. Emergency personnel arrived just south of Glen Helen Parkway.
CHP say witnesses noticed two pedestrians running on the highway. There, a Honda Civic struck one of them.
After the impact, the driver stopped on the right shoulder and reported the crash.
CHP located another vehicle in a nearby ditch upon arrival. However, authorities are still investigating to determine whether that was the vehicle occupied by the pedestrians prior to the accident.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, they located the pedestrian’s body in the #2 lane of the southbound lanes of the 15 freeway.
Medics declared the victim dead at the scene due to the impact of the collision. However, their identity has not been disclosed as of this time.
