Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Pedestrian Collision near Guinida Lane
ANAHEIM, CA (June 16, 2019) – Authorities are searching for a driver after a hit-and-run crash on South Gilbert Street, Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Guinida Lane, at about 9:45 PM. A woman attempted to cross in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle hit her.
Emergency responders found the victim with a minor leg injury and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the area. He is now wanted for a felony hit-and-run instead of a traffic collision.
Investigators encourage witnesses or anyone with CCTV footage to cooperate as soon as possible. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
