Man Injured after Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 805 near Interstate 8

 
NORMAL HEIGHTS, CA (November 1, 2019) – A pedestrian suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 805, early Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 4:00 AM. A Lyft car with several passengers spotted a man lying in the southbound Interstate 805 lanes near Interstate 8. Then, the vehicle pulled over and the passengers exited the vehicle to render aid to the victim.
 
Emergency responders rushed the victim to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity. Meanwhile, the driver that hit the victim did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
 
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Those who have information about this incident are encouraged to reach out as soon as possible. Authorities will release additional details once they become available.
