Woman Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver near Harbor Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (January 19, 2019) – A woman was critically injured Saturday evening following a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Coast Highway. The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed to the public.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident happened near Harbor Avenue, at about 6:10 PM. A pedestrian was walking outside of a crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle.
The victim suffered critical injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment and evaluation. Further updates on her current medical condition were not provided. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and immediately fled the area.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the collision and to identify possible contributing factors.
