Oakland Man Hospitalized after Pedestrian Collision near Richards Road
OAKLAND, CA (September 9, 2018) – An Oakland man was injured Sunday morning following a hit-and-run crash on MacArthur Boulevard. The identity of the victim was not immediately released to the public.
As per reports, the incident took place at about 6:10 AM in the 5000 block of MacArthur Boulevard. The pedestrian was crossing the road when a southbound Nissan struck him.
The victim sustained unspecified injuries, and received medical treatment from Oakland firefighters and paramedics. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Meanwhile, the Nissan driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors.
