Police Search the Hit-And-Run Driver after Crash on Kern Avenue in Tulare

Tulare, CA (July 8, 2022) – On Friday, a pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Kern Avenue.

The hit-and-run crash in Tulare happened on July 8.

Tulare Police said the suspect vehicle, a black Jeep was seen speeding heading east on Kern Avenue from R Street.

Witnesses said the vehicle sped through road-closed barriers and someone attending an event. The vehicle then sped away from the scene leaving the seriously injured pedestrian.

EMS transported the victim to a hospital with serious injuries.

Later, police located the suspect vehicle in a field in the area of Martin Luther King Avenue and K Street. 

Police are still searching for the driver.
