Hit-and-Run Crash in 48th Street and University Avenue Seriously Hurt Pedestrian, Driver at Large
San Diego, CA (August 5, 2020)– A vehicle struck a pedestrian in hit-and-run crash in 48th Street and University Avenue on Tuesday.
Police are still looking for the driver who fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian on August 4 at about 3 a.m.
According to the report, the pedestrian was crossing a street near the 48th Street and University Avenue intersection. However, it is still unclear if the pedestrian was in the designated crosswalk before the incident.
The vehicle took off and left the man on the road with serious injuries. Currently, there was no update with regards to the condition of the pedestrian.
Furthermore, the identification of the involved vehicle has not been released.
