James Forsyth Arrested after Pedestrian Accident in Laguna Niguel
LAGUNA NIGUEL (July 10, 2019) – Wednesday afternoon, a pedestrian was critically injured in a DUI accident on Niguel Road.
Officials reported the crash at about 3:00 PM in the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Niguel Road.
Authorities stated that 54-year-old James Forsyth was drunk driving when he collided with the pedestrian. Medics arrived shortly after. Due to the collision, the victim was critically injured and immediately transported to Mission Hospital. However, there has been no update on their medical status.
Also, police arrested and charged Forsyth for DUI. His blood alcohol level was .10. He allegedly had oxycodone and alprazolam at the time. Following his arrest, he pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence causing injury.
Furthermore, there has been no further information released about the incident.
