VICTORVILLE, CA (July 14, 2021) – Monday night, a pedestrian suffered injuries in a crash on Bear Valley Road and 2nd Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at around 8:35 p.m. in front of Desert Valley Hospital. Moreover, it happened on Bear Valley Road, east of 2nd Avenue in Victorville.
 
When the Victorville Fire along with AMR arrived, they rendered emergency medical care. Then, they called a helicopter to transport the patient to an out-of-area trauma center.
 
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez revealed that the man tried to cross the north side of Bear Valley Road in the middle of the intersection.
 
“The driver of the vehicle was traveling westbound in the #1 lane when she saw the man suddenly in her path. She swerved in an attempt to avoid hitting him but was unable to avoid the collision,” added Rodriguez.
 
Meanwhile, the vehicle driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the condition of the pedestrian.
 
Moreover, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Victorville Police Department at 760-241-2911.
