Traffic Accidents Could Be Avoided
When driving, it is important to follow all driving laws and the conditions of the road. If you see any vehicle or driver that looks dangerous, keep your distance. If you see a vehicle weaving in and out of the lanes, following too closely, or traveling at a higher rate of speed, move over a few lanes and get out of their way.
Drive defensively to ensure the safety of surrounding vehicles, drivers, and pedestrians.
Injuries in Hit-and-Run Collision on Main Street
Traffic safety continues to be a life-and-death matter, yet reckless driving has not been in decline.
California’s road accident rate continues to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models.
Furthermore, the increasing crash rate reflects that auto-pedestrian accidents like the collision on Main Street are a major public health threat. They are a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.
As a matter of fact, according to the NHTSA, two out of three motorists will be involved in an injury accident during their lives. That is why it is important to know what to do if you incur a motor vehicle crash.
