Man Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident near Hartley Streets in Chollas View Neighborhood
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 30, 2018) – A pedestrian was hospitalized Wednesday evening following a hit-and-run collision on 47th Street in the Chollas View neighborhood.
According to the San Diego Police, the incident occurred shortly after 8 PM near Hartley streets, just east of Interstate 805 and south of Market Street.
A 51-year-old man was trying to cross in a marked crosswalk that was located in a well-lit area, when an SUV struck him. The vehicle was described to be either black or silver, and fled from the scene, leaving the injured man in the road. There is currently no description of the hit-and-run driver.
The unidentified victim was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries, but he is expected to recover soon.
