Driver Involved in Initial Crash Exits Vehicle, Hit by Another Motorist on 80 Freeway in Sierra
SIERRA, CA (November 26, 2019) – A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car on 80 Freeway Tuesday afternoon in Sierra, according to California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 1:45 p.m., on 80 Freeway.
CHP officials said two vehicles were involved in a collision, and both drivers got out of their vehicles. The drivers exchanged insurance information while waiting for a tow truck.
When the tow truck arrived, a third vehicle lost control and struck the SUV. The SUV then pushed into one of the drivers who were standing nearby.
The driver that was struck suffered head and leg injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for proper treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
