Major Pedestrian Accident Reported Near Rocky Peak

 
SIMI VALLEY, CA (October 5, 2019) – A pedestrian was injured in an accident on Highway 118 on Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the Rocky Peak Road overpass, near the boundary between Ventura and Los Angeles counties at around 9:21 AM.
 
Based on a report, a big rig struck the pedestrian. However, additional details as to how this happened are unknown at this time.
 
The man suffered major injuries and was taken to the Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.
 
Two lanes of Highway 118 were closed for about an hour while an investigation is ongoing.
