Pedestrian Injured, Airlifted to Hospital after Crash on Interstate 15 Freeway
Victorville, CA (April 23, 2021) – On Thursday, officers airlifted a pedestrian to a hospital after a crash on Interstate 15 Freeway.
The incident took place on April 22 on Interstate 15 Freeway just north of Palmdale Road at about 6:12 p.m.
California Highway Patrol officers and Victorville firefighters responded to the scene after receiving reports of a pedestrian accident. According to the report, fire crews found the male pedestrian down in the center divider.
Due to the extent of the injuries he sustained from the collision, fire officials requested an air ambulance for the victim. However, there has been no update regarding his current condition.
Furthermore, the landing of the helicopter prompted the CHP to stop the roadway for traffic.
The driver of the green Toyota Camry involved in the incident stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
