19-Year-Old Driver Fatally Strikes Homeless Pedestrian near Ronald Drive in Huntington Beach

 
Huntington Beach, CA (May 16, 2020) – Wednesday evening, a pedestrian was killed in a car accident on Beach Boulevard and Ronald Drive.
 
The incident report was received around 10:30 p.m., on May 13. The pedestrian was crossing east from Ronald Drive. There, the pedestrian was struck by a 2014 Toyota Prius heading south on Beach Boulevard.
 
Due to impact of the collision, Huntington Beach Police Department later pronounced the pedestrian dead on scene. However, their identity has not been given.
 
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old male driver from Huntington Beach stayed and cooperated with the investigation.
 
The surrounding area on Beach Boulevard was closed off while crews worked on preliminary duties.
 
Authorities later ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the accident.
