Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Broadway Avenue in San Gabriel

 
SAN GABRIEL, CA (November 8, 2019) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a pickup truck late Friday afternoon at an intersection in San Gabriel, according to police.
 
The fatal incident happened around 5:37 p.m. at Broadway Avenue and San Marino Avenue.
 
Police said a male pedestrian was crossing the intersection when the pickup truck hit him.
 
Arriving paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not yet been released pending family notification.
 
Authorities said the involved driver took off then returned to the scene.
 
No arrests have been made at this time, but the incident remains under investigation.
