SUV Fatally Struck Pedestrian on Old Highway 80 in Descanso

 
DESCANSO, CA (December 6, 2019) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by an SUV late Friday afternoon in Descanso, according to the CHP.
 
The crash happened just after 5:00 p.m., in the 14000 block of Old Highway 80.
 
CHP officials said the pedestrian was walking in the area and was struck by a Toyota 4Runner. As a result, the victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The SUV driver stopped and cooperated with authorities.
 
Further details, including the identity of the victim, were not immediately available. The incident remains under investigation.
