Man Killed in Lemon Grove Pedestrian Accident on Highway 94 near College Avenue
LEMON GROVE, CA (September 20, 2019) – A man died Wednesday night after being struck by several vehicles on Highway 94 near College Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol said at least five vehicles hit the victim. The first collision occurred at about 8:45 p.m. in eastbound lanes.
An investigation showed that a 27-year-old woman driving a 2010 Nissan Altima saw a man attempting to walk northbound across the highway. She swerved to the left to avoid hitting the man but was unsuccessful. After that, four to five more vehicles struck the pedestrian.
The woman driving the Nissan and the other drivers stopped after the collisions. They called 911 to report that they had struck the man.
The unidentified pedestrian died at the scene. Further investigation of the incident is ongoing.
